  I am all for eating meat and being carnivorous; it's the appalling slaughter system, having generations of sentient creatures that are bred into seriously fucked up 'farming' environments for the sole purpose of being killed that bothers me. you want to be a carnivore, that's totally okay... unless you buy your meat commercially, in which case you should either go fucking learn to hunt properly or shut up and stop making fun of people who are capable of far less discriminate compassion than you-- assuming you're capable of compassion on other levels, only it's less about assumptions and more about choosing to acknowledge the possibility that you're misguided and not just a sad/gross/ridiculous/disgusting excuse for a person. I'm not even able to manage full-time vegan/vegetarianism,personally, but at least I try as much as I can, at least at I'm aware of the problem, and at least I don't mock those who are often sacrificing a shitton of their own comfort to unfuck the world.
